🐾🌈 Pets with Pride Photo Contest is Coming This August! 🌈🐾
Calling all proud pet parents and animal lovers!
LGBTQ+ Lorain County is excited to launch our Pets with Pride Photo Contest, happening August 1–31, 2026. From August 1-15, pets can be signed up for the contest and then voting will take place for our favorite furry, feathered, or scaled friends showing off their Pride spirit from August 16-31. The contest will help raise funds to support our mission to make Lorain County a more inclusive place for queer individuals to live, work, and play.
Start Snapping Those Photos Now!
Pride Month is the perfect time to start preparing for the contest. Whether your pet is rocking a rainbow bandana, posing at a Pride festival, sporting colorful bows, or simply showing off their fabulous personality, we want to see it!
Take photos throughout June and July and get ready to submit your favorites when the contest opens on August 1. Pets of all kinds are welcome, and creativity is encouraged!

We're also seeking community-minded businesses and organizations to help make this event a success. Sponsorships not only support LGBTQ+ Lorain County's programs and initiatives, but they also provide excellent visibility and engagement opportunities throughout the contest.

We are so thankful to everyone who helped us put on an amazing Pride celebration in Lorain County. It was our biggest Pride ever, and we could not have done it without the help of so many people, including all those who showed up to enjoy the events.
Thank you to our board members, volunteers, sponsors, vendors, partners, performers, and attendees. It was truly so heartwarming to see all of us come together to share in some queer comradery under the June sun.
We'd like to extend a special thank you to Oberlin College and their Office of Gender, Sexuality, & Attraction Initiatives for providing a wonderful space for both the drag show and Pride festival, the Lake Erie Crushers for hosting Pride Night at the baseball stadium, Community Foundation of Lorain County for hosting our SafeZone training, and to all of our amazing drag kings and queens who truly slayed with out of this world performances - The Twisted Transitioner, Chelsea Enchantress, Riley Poppyseed, Karma Couture, Oliver Pickles, Frieda VonFreakum!, Dusty Bucket, and lavendger GoodNight.
